Cat ears and long hair are covered in white frost. Blue-violet scaled wings rise from the back, their eye-spots not yet fully formed. Beneath the narrow waist extend segmented mantis-like limbs.

Behavior

It beats its wings only on extremely cold moonlit nights. Grass and trees frost over where it passes, and it lands without sound.
