A hybrid of mantis and lizard, with violet wings scattered with silver flecks. When the wings open, moonlight seems to break apart into scales. The adult is gorgeous, but its abdomen and sickle limbs keep the structure of a predator.

It feeds on moonlight. When its violet wings spread, a piece of brightness briefly goes missing from the night sky.
